PRODUCT TESTING

Each master reel of cable is sampled by the operator at each operation. These samples are checked visually and dimensionally for conformance and the samples are retained on each reel of cable for verification. Additionally ICEA sampling requirements are followed and these requirements are based on quantity of completed cable ordered. A least one sample per fifty thousand feet is physically checked in the laboratory.

BARRIER CABLE:

Centrilift Barrier cable has been designed to meet rigid internal specifications and the electrical testing has been increased for this outstanding product.

AC and DC Test, 5 minutes

5kV cables are tested at 15kVac for 5minutes

5kV cables are tested at 40kVdc for 5minutes (microamp leakage is recorded) (Leakage must meet API 11S6)

All test records are retained for traceability. In addition, test results are fully identified as to compound, type of cable and run conditions.

Additional samples are taken to the CDC laboratory for pressure testing and electrical breakdown, this information gives Centrilift a finger print of the cable and comparative data to judge cables against when samples are returned from the field.
